Activity block
The activity block shows a record's history on its record page: every create, edit and delete, newest first, with the person (or workflow, import or form) behind it and the old value struck through beside the new one.

Turn on activity tracking first
Nothing is recorded until you switch Track changes to records on in Settings > Activity tracking. Emberblocks then adds an _activitytable to your app's EmberDatabase and writes one row per saved edit. You can also turn it on from the block itself: dropped on a record page while tracking is off, it shows a Turn on activity tracking button.
Activity rows are rows in your database, so they count toward your EmberDB row limit. The same settings section holds a per-table exclusion list, a retention period (forever, 30, 90 or 365 days) and a Delete activity history button.
Settings
| Setting | Options | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Limit to fields | any fields | Show changes to these fields only. Leave it empty to show them all. |
| Creations | on / off | Show the entry for the record being created. On by default. |
| Deletions | on / off | Show delete entries. On by default. |
| Compact | on / off | One line per entry, with the field-by-field diff behind a chevron. Off by default. |
| Per page | 10 / 25 / 50 | How many entries load at a time; a Show more button loads the next page. 25 by default. |
| Filter row | on / off | The All fields and Everyone selects above the feed. On by default; on phones they collapse into one Filter button. |
A change log for the whole app
Turning tracking on also puts an Activity table in your Data tab, marked System, read-only. It is an ordinary table source apart from that: build a table, chart or filter block on it for a log across every table at once: when, which record, what happened, who did it, and the field-by-field changes. Settings > Activity tracking has an Add a “Recent changes” view button that builds the usual one for you. Nothing in the app can add, edit or delete these rows.
Like every block, this one also has the shared block settings: an optional title (which shows as a heading above the block) with a description under it, auto-height, conditional visibility, and role-based visibility.
